KEEP DIGGING
Oh Gracious God! It is REHOBOTH sis,Genesis 26, please read from verse 15.Isaac was obedient to God and kept working in a famine land as commanded, he got the inspiration to start irrigation. He made his servants dig wells to nurture his crops and in-turn reaped a hundred times. The land owners became jealous and started blocking all the wells with sand, but Isaac kept digging more wells. The more he dug, the more they filled them up with dirt; until he dug the last one and the enemies couldn't fill up, He called the place REHOBOTH! A place where God has made a room for Him. The Spacious place!Beloved, I don't know what your situation is, I don't know who is contending with you. I think God is telling you to keep digging(maybe this is what He meant by preparing your spirit) Certainly, you will soon be given the room, and you will have peace, liberty, and abundance.Shalom sis❤️
After reading Genesis 26, I concluded how this possibly translates into my lineage.
There was a famine in the land of Canaan for the second time. The famine before occurred in the days of Abraham (Isaac's father) in the land of Canaan. So Isaac went to Gerar, and God told him to stay there, and he would favor him and bless him and his descendants abundantly and carry out the oath that he swore to his father (Abraham). Isaac was obedient and remained in Gerar. It was not long before he became very wealthy, and the King Abimelech of the Philistines told him to leave the region because he was too powerful.
Isaac moved to the Valley of Gerar and began digging wells where his father Abraham had previously dug; the Philistines had filled them up with dirt. When Isaac's servants dug well #1, the herdsmen of Gerar argued with them. When Isaac's servants dug well #2, the herdsmen of Gerar got hostile with them. So Isaac moved from there and dug well #3; nobody quarreled with him. He named that well REHOBOTH (broad places).
My conclusion to this story is that Isaac was obedient and tenacious, although he lied about Rebekah being his wife and telling King Abimelech she was his sister. He did not give up until he found the land where there was enough room for him and his descendants to prosper.
In my lineage, there has been a lack of abundance. I had the honor of meeting my grandmother and great-grandmother. I am generation #3, which indicates that I have a tall order to break the generational lack and set my children's generation and subsequent ones to prosper abundantly.
Wow! Now, I have complete clarity. Although I do not think I have any "current" contenders, this is a clear warning to prepare for the envious people that will soon come when I walk into this spacious place of abundance. Hence, be alert of those people and do not get distracted.
